THE 36th Airlift Squadron recently conducted a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System Rapid Insertion (HIRAIN) at a Japanese air base. The training took place during a joint operational support mission with the US Marines at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, on September 18-19. The training enabled a bilateral live-fire exercise between the US Marine Corps and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and allowed for an opportunity to practice tactics, techniques and procedures in austere environments.
